Kinghams Auctioneers provide a full range of services relating to the sale and valuation of chattels. We provide a professional valuation service, for solicitors, professional advisers and private clients. Our valuations are conducted by our senior valuers and can be a formal written document or a more informal verbal valuation.
Our range of services include Insurance, Probate and Auction valuations.
Insurance Valuations
Kinghams can carefully tailor our services to meet your specific needs. Formal insurance valuations can vary from complete house contents to single items and we can discuss what options are available to you before visiting your property.
It is advisable for clients with valuable collections of jewellery, art and antiques to have a fully comprehensive itemised and illustrated bound inventory to ensure that, in the unfortunate event of a claim, the correct compensation is made. Many fine art and chattel insurers annually review their risk management strategies and it is important that clients have a current valuation of house contents as this limits negotiation time in the event of theft or damage of property.
The value of antiques and art can change dramatically over short periods of time with market forces and condition of items having a dramatic effect on price. Value can be more in line with current fashion rather than inflation, and a regularly reviewed valuation could help reduce insurance premiums and facilitate the speedy settlement of a claim.
Kinghams offer a confidential valuation service with a clear fee structure.
Probate Valuations
We offer professional and discreet valuation service to private individuals handling a family probate, professional executors, trust companies and legal representatives.
We will provide a valuation as required by the Capital Taxes Office detailing the principal items with accompanying digital images if required.
Our valuers understand that this can be a difficult time for family and friends and we endeavour to tailor make our services to each individual circumstance to alleviate concerns.
